GDPR & Your Rights

Last updated: February 2026

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU law (Regulation 2016/679) that gives individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA) strong rights over their personal data. This page explains what data H5Bros processes, why, and the rights you hold as a data subject.

1. Data Controller

H5Bros operates h5bros.com. For the purposes of the GDPR, H5Bros is the data controller for any personal data collected through direct operation of this website.

Controller: H5Bros

2. What Personal Data We Process

H5Bros does not require you to create an account, log in, or submit personal information to use the site. The data we handle is minimal:

Data Type Description Legal Basis

Advertising data Interaction signals used by ad partners to serve relevant ads. Collected only with your consent. Consent (Art. 6(1)(a))
Cookie consent record Your consent choices are stored locally in your browser's localStorage. No copy is sent to our servers. Legitimate interest / Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c),(f))
Favourites & recently played Slugs of games you save or play, stored only in your browser's localStorage. Never transmitted to H5Bros servers. Contract / Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b),(f))

3. Your Seven GDPR Rights

As a resident of the EEA (or UK/Switzerland under equivalent laws), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15).

✏️

Right to Rectification

Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data (Art. 16).

🗑️

Right to Erasure

Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten") (Art. 17).

4. How to Exercise Your Rights

Because H5Bros does not maintain user accounts or server-side personal profiles, most rights can be exercised directly in your browser:

5. Third-Party Data Processors

We work with the following processors who may handle personal data on our behalf or independently:

6. International Data Transfers

Some third-party services (notably Google) transfer data outside the EEA to the United States. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as a lawful transfer mechanism. H5Bros itself does not independently transfer personal data outside the EEA.

7. Data Retention

8. Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. A list of EU supervisory authorities is available at edpb.europa.eu. UK residents may contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
