Neon Air Hockey

Cyberpunk air hockey with sharp physics and a smart AI opponent.

About Neon Air Hockey

Neon Air Hockey takes the classic arcade table and rebuilds it in glowing wireframe. You control a paddle on your side of the rink and trade fast strikes with an AI that reads your angles and adapts as the round progresses.

The puck physics are deliberately crisp: rebounds are predictable, deflection angles match what you would expect on a real table, and you can curve the puck slightly by striking on the move. Matches are short, scoring is generous, and the soundtrack keeps the tempo high.

How to play

Move your paddle to block the puck and strike it back. The first side to reach the target score wins the match.

DesktopMouse — drag the paddle. Click to start a serve.
MobileTouch and drag the paddle

Tips & tricks

  • Strike the puck while your paddle is still moving forward — momentum transfers and the shot is faster.
  • Aim for the side walls; bank shots are harder for the AI to read.
  • When defending, position the paddle a little forward of the goal mouth, not on the line.
  • Watch the AI's positioning between serves — it tells you which side it expects.
  • Slow, controlled shots into corners often beat raw speed down the middle.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a multiplayer mode?

The current build is single player against an AI opponent that adapts to your style.

How is the AI difficulty set?

The AI begins at a relaxed pace and tightens its angles and reaction speed as the score climbs.

Does the game work on touchscreens?

Yes — touch-drag controls the paddle, with the same precision as a mouse.

Can I pause a match?

Click outside the rink or use the on-screen pause button to pause a match in progress.
