Rings Untie

Rotate concentric rings to align gaps and unlock the mechanism.

About Rings Untie

Rings Untie is a rotation puzzle built around stacks of concentric rings. Each ring has a gap. You rotate the rings until every gap lines up vertically, opening a path for the inner core.

It is a small, satisfying puzzle. Levels grow from three rings to many, with timed gates and counter-rotating layers later on. There is no timer in most levels, just the click of a ring snapping into the right place.

How to play

Drag or tap to rotate a ring. Align every gap so the inner core can drop through. Levels end when the path is open.

Tips & tricks

  • Solve the outermost ring first; it locks the alignment of inner rings.
  • Counter-rotating rings often need a small offset, not a perfect alignment.
  • If a level has a timed gate, set its ring last so it doesn't drift before you finish.
  • Solutions often need only small rotations — over-rotating costs time.
  • Reset levels freely. Iteration is faster than over-thinking.

Strategy notes

Rings Untie is a calm rotation puzzle about lining up every gap into a single vertical channel. With more rings, work from the outside in: settle the outer ring’s gap to the top, then bring each inner ring into line without disturbing the ones you have set. On later levels with counter-rotating layers and timed gates, watch the rotation speeds and align the fastest-moving ring last, since it drifts out of place the quickest. Most levels are untimed, so precision beats speed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I lock a ring in place?

No — every ring stays free to rotate until the puzzle is solved.

How many rings does a level have?

From three for early levels to many in later stages.

Does it scale on mobile?

Yes — touch drag is the primary input.

Is there a tutorial?

The first few levels act as a soft tutorial.
